A 12-member delegation from Ukraine visited the Agency for Regional Development-Center for Business and Information Velingrad on March 17. The guests were representatives of small towns with a population of 10 to 45,000 inhabitants from three Ukrainian districts. This is precisely why they took an interest in our city and the work of local business agencies. The head of the delegation Nikolay Yakimenko shared that their visit to Bulgaria was under a project funded by the International Corps of Volunteer Experts and the world-famous company Gillette. Their main goal is to see how Bulgaria is going along the path of European integration, because they hope after the "orange revolution" and Ukraine to go along this path. Except in Velingrad they will visit Sofia, Plovdiv, Karlovo, Dobrich and Varna. From the conversation it became clear that unemployment in Ukraine is within only 2-5%, but the country has a number of tasks regarding the development of legislation and local business initiatives. The guests from Ukraine were impressed by the organization and activities of the ARK-CBI, whose executive director Vaska Milusheva detailed them with the main activities and achievements of the agency.
