Dozens of excited grandparents, parents and babies passed through the lobby of the municipality on the morning of January 21 to participate in the ritual "Giving a name to a child". This year over 70 newborns (out of the total born in 2004) 545 babies) were given the best wishes by the employees of the Rite House and received as a gift for the holiday nice sleeping sets. The grandmothers filled all the adetes for the holiday, treated and jumped with cakes for the health of the grandchildren. Among the babies was little Georgi Avramov, grandson of the late mayor of the same name. The news presenter on Nova TV Kostadin Filipov was actively filming with a video camera the celebration of his daughter, Babinden was also celebrating the grandson of the municipal councilor Ivan Slavchev.
Ensemble "Chepino" with music and songs accompanied the cheerful emotions during the entire celebration. Nikolay Gyaurov Square also gathered many people for whom the Representative Brass Orchestra plays and dances the cheerleading squad. Temporary Mayor Tanya Goncheva congratulated Babinden to all who have grandmothers and wished this traditional holiday for Velingrad to continue. For the first time this year, the celebration of the square was not attended by the doctors and midwives from the AGO of the municipal hospital, who celebrated the previous night. But the custom of "watering" was performed by the young mother Emilia Hadzhieva, who overflowed to Maria Vlahova - the head of the Authentic Ensemble for Folk Folklore at the community center in Kamenitsa, who then recreated the entire local tradition for Babinden.
At the end of the celebration the amateurs from the ensemble for authentic folklore from Draginovo sang and danced, and in the big horo in the square was caught and the candidate-mayor Atanas Vodev.
