During the week, the girls from the basketball team of SOU "V. Levski” fought for the first place in the regional student championship. The leader of the team was the teacher of physical education Vanya Velkova. The eight contestants who won the cup are: Maya Gencheva, Maya Mileva, Spasimira Sodeva, Stanislava Grozdanova, Susanne Schnitter, Stanislava Shopova, Rositsa Morunova and Mahaela Etova. All of them are studying in eighth grade and are now preparing for the upcoming matches in the zone championship.
The boys team conceded first place with only 2 points difference and was awarded a diploma and a basketball. 10 boys from seventh and eighth grade presented SOU "V. Levski" at the regional finals: Ivan Ilychov, Angel Alakushev, Viktor Naydenov, Kiril Arshinkov, Yanaki Bicin, Alexander Stamatov, Georgi Topurkov, Salih Nuyredin, Vladimir Kalaydzhiev, Borislav Arshinkov.
