37-year-old Angel D. Chavdarov was killed by his own brother Joseph on Christmas Day. The two Roma brothers lived in a house of a company in Velingrad, which gave them their temporary residence, as theirs suffered in the August floods. During the holidays, they got together with company, and after many cheers, a serious quarrel ensued, in which Joseph stabbed his brother Angel with a knife.
However, the murder was not discovered immediately, as the perpetrator made an attempt to mask it, announced last week at a press conference in Pazardzhik, the head of the Regional Directorate of Internal Affairs, Zhoro Stoitsev. The man's corpse was washed and dressed, and his death was explained to relatives and acquaintances with a sudden heart attack. However, the stab wound to the chest of the dead man unequivocally pointed to the true cause of death. The case is being investigated against the perpetrator of the fratricide.
