On 23 October in the big hall of the Municipality Coalition for Bulgaria held the second election meeting for the presidential candidate couple Georgi Parvanov - Angel Marin. This time the questions of the Velingrad socialists for the upcoming elections were answered by the gentlemen Ginyo Ganev and Angel Naydenov, as well as representatives of the regional leadership of BSP - K. Kobakov and P. Belev. What does he emphasize in his expos G. Ganev: "It is true that under the Constitution every citizen can become President of the Republic of Bulgaria, but we lived the delusion of looking for an "uncle" - just a popular person from the circles of artists, violinists, etc., unsuitable for this highest state and political office, we began to search for and found the "father of the nation" and in this sense the great political reason prevailed. The President is the head of state and personifies the unity of the nation and is the only representative of Bulgaria to the world. Mr. Ganev explained that the most important among the qualities of the future president is how much he can unite as much of the Bulgarian people as possible and stressed that "you can unite the people only if you bring a policy of national agreement." Something that Mr. Parvanov has proven all these years and recalled the national-responsible position for the preservation of the civil peace of the leader of the BSP in February 1997, which he paid with a "personal party sacrifice". In his expos, Ginyo Ganev criticized the behavior of the current president for his reactions related to the management of the ODF: "Why did he not give a sign that he does not share the ODF's selfish and anti-social policies? Why didn't you ask for a trial, an inquest, a prosecutor's office for the corrupt? And he emphasized that the candidates Parvanov and Marin have proved that they have the necessary qualities and as "manly and worthy candidates" they will not yield to the social drama of the people and will worthyly stand for the cause of Bulgaria "unified and indivisible today and to eternity", concluded the widespread and historical speech "the man-parliament" Ginyo Ganev. To the questions from the hall "about the very sluggish and rachitic" campaign for the upcoming elections, about the insufficient clear opposition and exposure of the UDF policy, both in parliament and on local soil, and about the fight against media that do not faithfully reflect the positions and work of the BSP, answered the party's spokesman and MP Angel Naydenov. He said: "I am convinced that with more effort and organization the current President Petar Stoyanov can be punished, as the people punished the UDF on June 17, because the President could not oppose for 4 years a single person - Ivan Kostov, that is why he is running as an "independent". Angel Naydenov also did not accept the accusations that the BSP was weak opposition and did not fight corruption in the previous parliament, reminding that it was the leader and presidential candidate Georgi Parvanov from the rostrum of the National Assembly who first called Ivan Kostov "the godfather of the Bulgarian mafia", and over 2,600 cases of corruption were submitted to the prosecution. As for the media, A. Naydenov was adamant: "I do not think that we need to fight the media because in their face we see partners with whom to pursue and show the truths together." The second election meeting of the Socialists ended with a wish in the upcoming elections to elect a president who is a guarantor of "dignity of the Bulgarian state and of the Bulgarian citizen."
