On August 12 in Pazardzhik at the district level were presented the candidates-mayors of BSP and the left. Present were BSP Vice-President Rumen Petkov, the Director of the press center Iliana Yotova, the leader of UBT Krastyo Petkov, the regional chairmen of BSP and UBT Kostadin Kobakov and Ivan Bojkov. Of the nominees for mayors so far, Ivan Evstatiev (a candidate for Pazardzhik), Petarneichev (who will compete for a third term in Peshtera) and Zavarin Marov (a candidate of the centre-left coalition in Velingrad) were given the floor. Thus, it was shown which municipalities in the district are a priority for the BSP in the upcoming elections, commented the municipal chairman of the red party, Toma Pachalov. In his presentation, Zavarin Marov has put emphasis on the development of Velingrad as a tourist and balneological center, the woodworking industry, the development of potato and hop production and mountain livestock breeding in the area.
Meanwhile, talks continue in Velingrad between BSP and parties from the left political spectrum to expand the coalition of 16 parties.
