The Center for Business and Information in Velingrad is preparing two initiatives, the purpose of which is to increase the tourist flow in Velingrad and the region, announced its director Svetlana Papukchieva.
From 17 September, an advertising tour for Greek tour operators begins. It is expected to include about 15 tour operators from Thessaloniki and Athens. With the financial help of the Jobs program, Greek guests will visit tourist sites in 3 municipalities in 4 days: Gotse Delchev, Razlog and Velingrad. The organizers plan during their visit to our city to accommodate them at the Velina Hotel and make visits to the Hemus carpet factory in Kostandovo, a fish picnic and a walk to the Meanders near Sarnitsa.
From 2 to 5 October, the CBI will advertise our resort at a tourist forum in the Radisson Hotel in Sofia. During the forum, an Alternative Tourism Fair will be organized in the space between the hotel and the National Assembly building. The CBI plans to show two options for alternative tourism near Velingrad: rural tourism in Sarnitsa and photo safari in the Shiblyovtsi locality on the way to Yakoruda, famous for the unique Balkan bee.
