For the third time in a row, the Chepinets team failed the barrage to enter Group B on June 2. That's too much, even for the biggest losers. It is as if the Velingradians are doomed to play in the group of rural teams, where they will kick for the fifth consecutive year. Unfortunately, this happened again through the penalty roulette. And this time luck was on the side of the opponent.


An atmosphere for an interesting match at the Academic Stadium in Sofia created the audience of Chepinets-Beev. Nearly 200 people (including Mayor Dr. Dafov, President Fidel Beev and the entire Board of Directors of the club) sounded the stadium with horns, whistles, flags and loudly throughout the match supported the players from Velingrad. Definitely at this match the audience was above the level of the team.
The first half passed under the dictation of the Ihtimans. They held the ball more and created several critical situations in front of Marinov's goal, but the goalkeeper and the defense did well. With a lot of nervous football, the players of Botev broke the game and by the 25th minute were already decorated with 4 yellow cards. And for the entire match, referee Yordan Ivanov showed a total of 12 yellow and 1 red card (5 yellow for Chepinets-Beev). The only possibility for Velingradans arose only in the 45th minute, when N. Milenov from foul hampered the goalkeeper of "Botev".
After the break, Chepinets-Beev played better and more opportunities for goal were opened to the players. Especially the left flank of the attack was activated, from where it began to break through the reserve B. Kadyov. He created several situations, but still lacked the right pitch, and even more finishing goal shot.
In regular time, the match ended in a zero draw and according to the regulation for the amateurs a penalty was forthcoming. The Ihtimans started first and their player sent the ball out. Nedko Milenov easily scored for 1-0. A new pass for Ihtiman followed - goalkeeper Marinov saved the blow. Here, too, Tony Hajiyev could have decided the match, but he beat high above the door. Ihtimantsi tied with the third penalty - 1:1. Unfortunately, then D. Chonkov would've been in the sidebar. A new pass of a Botev player also followed after a hit in the beam. But also S. Nedelchev missed. In the fifth penalty, Botev led with 1:2. D. Nalbantov coolly restored the tie - 2:2. In the additional penalties, Botev scored a goal, and Drinov would have in the side beam...
Thus, on Botev Day, the team of “Botev” Ihtiman had more chance and wins. And for "Chepinets-Beev" again remained the lesson-reassurance: "Do not lose courage until the next barrage!".
For the continuing teams, the system is complex: on June 3, a draw is made between the winners in the first barrages (among them is "Hebar" Pazardjik). The draw will determine two teams that directly enter a Group. The remaining three plus Malko Buchino's team will form two pairs and will compete. The winners of these matches go to Group.
