On October 21 (Tuesday) at the City Stadium in Velingrad is played the match of the first round of the first stage in the Bulgarian Cup tournament, also known as "Ford Moto-Pfohe" - general sponsor of the tournament. The players of Chepinets-Beev managed to beat 1-0 their rivals-professionals from “Shumen 2001” and continue in the next round. The guests from Shumen, who compete in the "B" group, started the match with the confidence of professionals and thought that they would easily cope with the velingradians. This did not happen because the graduates of coach Pashev came out maximally mobilized and concentrated for this match. The defense acted securely, and each time the ball was taken away, the fastest way was sought for a surprise counterattack. So came 15 minutes when V. Krustev centered the ball from foul and I. Chushkov after a head blow pierced the door of Shumen - 1: 0. The guests increased the turnovers and tried to endanger the door of V. Kuzmanov, but the defense of the hosts and the goalkeeper coped with the situations that arose. It was too early to force a change of K. Dumkov, who was not yet ready to play with full strength after his shoulder injury. At the end of the half in front of V. Krestev opened up a new opportunity for a goal, but instead of hitting the goal, he slowed down and fell into the penalt looking for a penalty. For this action, however, he received only a yellow card for simulation.
In the second part guests even more openly went ahead to seek equalization and opened new chances for counterattacks. On several occasions, the players of Chepinets-Beev were very close to new hits, but they could not score more goals. In the end they kept the lead of one goal and managed to remove the team of "Shumen 2001".
