On 26 and 27 July in Pleven was held the republican triathlon championship in its main variant. It includes 750 m of swimming, 20 km of cycling and 5 km of running. The race took place in Kaylaka Park and was attended by all the best competitors in the triathlon from the country. The Velingrad Swimming Club Belmeken presented itself with 6 competitors. Excellent performance Desislava Glaveeva in the girls st. an age who became a Republican champion. In the same age group, Anna Zakhova won a bronze medal. In the youths, Yasen Yankov came fourth. In adolescents ml. Age Georgi Seimenov is fifth and Vasko Velchev - ninth. In children, Nikolai Gill finished fourth.
The coaching management thanked the Municipality of Velingrad for the assistance and assistance through which it was possible to participate in this championship. The municipality has borne the transport costs and has provided a minibus for the riders' journey to Pleven.
