Counsellors: It's a mockery and disrespect
"Mr. Dulev's absence from today's meeting of the Municipal Council is a perplexity, I do not know what the reasons are. This is a disrespect to the work of the Municipal Council," commented the President of the local parliament, Nedzhat Kehayov.
V.I.D. Mayor Stoyan Dulev did not appear at the regular session held on December 16. The decisions by which for v.i.d. Atanas Vodev was elected mayor in court proceedings - there is a ruling to suspend the preliminary execution of the decisions and a subsequent appeal in the Supreme Administrative Court. On December 22, it will become clear whether a new case will be opened in the Pazardzhik District Court on a private appeal of Mr. Dulev against the Municipal Council. In the course of the court proceedings v.i.d. The mayor is Stoyan Dulev and as such he was supposed to participate in the meeting of the Municipal Council, but in the hall was only Deputy Mayor Recep Hodzhov and the other Deputy Mayor S. Chavdarova appeared in a matter of minutes.
One of the reasons for the councillors to expect the presence of Dulev was that there were questions to him, to which he did not answer at the previous session. The question of the councilor Toma Pachalov is what steps have been taken by the mayor in court to terminate the contract for joint activity with Eurovodcommerce Company. Mr. Pachalov was given a written answer, but not on behalf of the asked Mr. Dulev. Doubts that the administration has not taken all necessary action in this direction remain. On December 8, a formal inquiry was sent by the chairman of the Municipal Council N. Kehayov with which company a contract for snow removal was concluded. Until 16 December, no response was received, but at the session itself the deputy mayor R. Hodzhov got away that the inquiry did not come to him and could not answer.
The absence of Stoyan Dulev from the session was described by councilors as a mockery of the Municipal Council, many criticisms were also heard because of the absence from the hall of responsible municipal officials. The vice-president of the Municipal Council Asim Adem said that the important decisions taken by a large majority at the meeting on December 16 showed that when there is a good will, councillors and administration can do the job. Work should be done, instead of having a small-time nagging, Mr. Adem believes.
