As interim mayor of the municipality since August, Stoyan Dulev has paid about BGN 200,000 to the company Beev and Beev under the public procurement for waste disposal. This became clear from a reply of the chief accountant of the municipality Hristo Savov to inquiries of councilors. Mr Savov did not name the exact amount, but said that the payments were based on contract, deeds and invoices.
We recall that during the same period Stoyan Dulev repeatedly stated that until the court procedure for the public procurement is completed, the municipality will not pay either Beev and Beev or the municipal company Stroycom. But in practice it was operated with a double standard - from "Beev and Beev" received their money, and "Stroycom" is on the verge of bankruptcy. Payments are also made regardless of the definitions for suspension of the preliminary performance of the contract with Beev and Beev, ordered by the District Court.
After the last session of the year on December 30, councillors and interim mayor Atanas Vodev gathered for a meeting to consider the options for saving Stroycom - details in the next issue.
