The regular regional reporting and election conference of BZNS "People's Union" was held on September 29 in Pazardzhik. Before the conference, reports and elections were held at the municipal level, and a regular congress of the organization is due in a month. The main intrigue of the conference was centered around the election of a regional chairman of the BZNS-NS. Contestants for it were the current chairman Ekaterina Kaferinova from Velingrad and Emil Yonchev from Pazardzhik. Late Sunday evening, the results of the vote of the delegates who re-elected Mrs. Kaferinova to the post in charge became known. Thus, she remains the only political leader from Velingrad at the district level.
