After the extraordinary congress of the BZNS-People's Union last week in agricultural circles in Pazardzhik region continues to boil and boil. The municipal organization of the BZNS-NS demanded the resignation of the regional leader Ekaterina Kaferinova, who was among the delegates of the congress supporting the change of Secretary General Anastasia Moser. The opposite position of the congress protected the municipal structure of the party in Pazardzhik.

- Mrs. Kaferinova, the municipal organization in Pazardzhik wants your resignation as chairman of the district leadership. Are you going to resign?
- I will not resign under any circumstances!
The regional chairman of the BZNS-NS is elected by the district leadership, which consists of 11 people. None of these 11 people asked me to resign. As a member of the district leadership, I was elected by the district reporting-election conference. The municipal leadership of Pazardzhik does not have the right by statute to ask for my resignation unless I voluntarily give it to myself, which will not happen.
- The motives for requesting your resignation are not according to the statute, but because of your position at the extraordinary congress for the election of a new leadership of the BZNS-NS.
I don't think there are any reasons why I should be asked to resign. For 3 years a small group of several people from Pazardzhik led by the chairman of the municipal leadership Emil Yonchev could not accept that a person outside Pazardzhik was a regional chairman. At the past regular congress, they lodged a complaint with the congress and contested the election of the district leadership and the district chairman. The complaint was rejected and the Congress of BZNS-NS established as legitimate the district leadership of Pazardzhik. In the present moment, they see an opportunity to attack again, which, however, is not statutory and is illegitimate.
- Why did you think that a new chief secretary of the party had to be elected at the extraordinary congress?
- The statute states what issues may be considered by an extraordinary congress, which also includes the election of the Secretary General. Once the statute provides for it, such a point may be proposed. It is no secret that after the negotiations around the formation of the government, there was tension and confrontation between the Secretary General on the one hand and the Permanent Presence and the Emergency Council of the BZNS-NS on the other hand. At the last meeting, the Permanent Presence requested a vote of confidence on the issue created by the Governing Council. The vote of confidence was given to the Permanent Presence in the ratio of 71 votes in favour and 5 votes against. After the Permanent Presence requested a vote of confidence from the body that elected him - the Governing Council, it was normal for the Secretary General of the BZNS-NS to request a vote from the body that elected him - from the Congress. Since this did not happen, in the name of unity, all countries must be reasonable, stop confrontation and focus our efforts on preserving unity and solving the problems affecting our voters. This is especially necessary at this stage, when the entire right-wing political space is being torn apart by contradictions.
- After the extraordinary congress, more or less are the problems of the BZNS-People's Union?
- Issues from the parliamentary elections in the summer remain and the actions that are currently provoked by the municipal leadership of Pazardzhik lead to their deepening, not resolution. It is in this aspect that my words are confirmed that we must stop with internal and interpersonal attacks in order to overcome the crisis. Who to be the regional chairman and regional leadership of the BZNS-NS will be decided by statute - in the reporting-election campaign next year in the autumn.
