In the beautiful and attractive area "The Streets" with southern exposure, 1 hour and 20 minutes from Kamenitsa, a new shelter for beauty and fairy tale came up. It has long been talked by tourists and nature lovers about the need for shelter in this area, where in cold, windy and rainy weather one can take shelter. Unforgettable are the impressions among these unique rock formations and beautiful scenery.
The "Shelter Streets" is now a fact. It was conceived and built by those living in the district. Kamenitsa Ilya G. Pashov - Chief Designer, Petar G. Ushekhov and his father Georgi Ushekhov. They are helped by the women and children of the families and Kostadin Patinov. They find the necessary materials themselves (nails, tins, bedspreads, etc.) and carry them to the shelter on their own. Tourist companies Yundola and Ostrets have already visited the new shelter and the first champagne has exploded.
A few more words for these enthusiasts, loving and very often visiting the beautiful surroundings of Velingrad. They built the tap on the "Home" next to the transformer. They, along with the late Bai Peter and Baba Yana Chavdarova and other tourists, decided and built a shelter "Dragiche", which they maintained in decent form after several vandal destructions.
It's nice to go hiking with these humble and hardworking people. From them you will learn how to light a fire, how to bake bread and lard. The best thing about the forest is when the brandy is released and the table is cluttered with a variety of delicacies and appetizers. Lunch is on. What an appetite, what a mood! Conversations go unforced. A "Cheers!" is heard, a song is sung, a horo is twisted. After a hearty lunch and strong emotions, it's time to rest. We leave for Velingrad joyful and happy.
