The water association "Eurovodcomers company" - Sofia received for consideration the right to use the water transmission systems and networks for mineral waters, which are owned by the Municipality of Velingrad. The association already has a 10-year contract with the municipality for the management of the entire water transmission network of the municipal company VKTV.

Eurovodcommerce's request was to manage the thermal water network for 10 years. However, the network is public municipal property and as such cannot be leased for more than 3 years. Therefore, the councillors voted "Eurovodkommers" to use it for the maximum period of 3 years, for which the municipality will receive monthly revenues. The association will collect fees from mineral water users and collect fines from offenders. Against this, it undertakes to carry out reconstructions and modernizations of the network to increase its value as an asset of the municipality.
This decision was reached after more than 3 years after the adoption of the new Water Act the municipality failed to find an option who should manage the water transmission facilities of mineral waters. The exact commitments of Eurovodkommers will become clear in the contract, which is to be signed by the mayor of the municipality. According to the decision of the session, the contract will be drawn up by the chairman of the Municipal Council and the chairmen of groups.
The councillors provided Eurovodcomers with management and water main Vodev Chark, which is to be put into operation.
