The candidate-mayor of the Green Party Fidel Beev opened his election campaign on October 3 in the evening in his latest investment - restaurant "Eskada". The actions in his program were presented by Sonia Chavdarova, Executive Director of BBtv and a candidate advisor from the list with a leader Mr. Beev. The program brings to the fore the economic development of the municipality and public opinion with the presumption that only the economy can change people's lives and that if the government does not comply with public opinion, it means they are fleeing from reality. Mr. Beev promised not to allow indiscriminate invasion of outside companies in Velingrad and to categorically change the way of work in the municipal companies "Stroycom" and "VKTV". As the only opportunity Velingrad to be a year-round resort evaluated balneotourism, and for rural tourism reported that our villages are not yet ready and the activity of their mayors should be provoked. In the field of education, the paradox that we have vocational schools should be put to an end, and at the same time, skilled carpenters and restaurateurs are being sought.
Healthcare should respond to public expectations, and in the social sphere Mr. Beev is committed to the poma, as he has done so far. In conclusion: knows what the mechanisms of the local government should not be, does not go to it with bulky programs and great promises, but knows what needs to be changed and where to go from.
The five mayoral candidates for St. Petka, Draginovo, Grashevo, Honey meadows and Krastava and candidates from the list of councilors were presented. Mr. Beev then answered questions, the first of which was how he accepted the comments about Beevgrad. He wished to work with the Municipal Council, which would have few politicians and more people working for Velingrad. The lack of administrative experience intends to compensate with a good team, and Stoyan Dulev added that Fidel Beev's companies have more administration than the entire Municipal Administration. The candidate intends to provide more funds in the municipal treasury by winning projects and by way of municipal bonds. He believes that the current practice of 99.9% of the municipal budget should be for the city, with the villages receiving money according to the number of their inhabitants. Control must also be seriously strengthened, because municipal money is sinking into bottomless pits.
Great interest among the attendees caused the film "Open for Fidel Beev" by author Sonia Chavdarova, which will soon be seen by the viewers of BBtv. At the end of the official part, Mrs. Bonka Beeva thanked everyone who believed her husband and wished him success with the words "Hard forward, we are with you" and a bunch of geraniums.
