The new footballers who will play with the Chepinets-Beev jersey in the spring half are Georgi Ivanov (from Botev Pd), Simeon Todorov and Krasimir Kamburov (from Sokol Markovo) and Iliya Hrischev (from Loko 101). They came to the team during the winter break and last week were carded in the Zonal Council (ZC) of the BFS. For penalties Tancho Kalpakov, who was deprived of racing rights until April 30, 2004, an application was filed to review his punishment and its possible reduction. On February 19, the Disciplinary Committee to the ZS of the BFS will meet and then the decision about the "Kalpakov case" will become clear. If it is in the player's favor, Kalpakov will have the opportunity to play in the first game of the spring half. Two other players from Chepinets-Beev will miss the match with Velbuzhd in Kyustendil on 22 February. Goalkeeper Biser Vlaikov served a two-game penalty, and N. Harizanov will miss one. Last week, the events around Biser Vlaikov and Dimitar Chonkov developed quickly and dramatically. First, the two footballers refused to travel for the control match against Spartak in Plovdiv, after which they were released from the team. Subsequently, however, the management of Chepinets-Beev decided to return Vlaikov and Chonkov to the composition. This also enabled last year's suspended D. Peykov also to start training with the team, but without any commitments, at least for now. In their last control match so far, the players of Chepinets-Beev played against the juniors of Slavia, born in 1986. In very bad weather and strong cold wind the Velingradians won 4-0, after goals of C. Todorov -2 and one on K. Dumkov and A. Nedelchev. For various reasons, D did not enter the game. Chonkov, V. The last week before the first match against Velbazhd will pass in Velingrad, where the team will prepare for the meeting. With preserved main players and with the new additions to the squad, the team of Chepinets-Beev will have to defend their front standings so far. And the game and the results will show how fruitful the preparation has been over the past month. Football specialists claim that the quality preparation of the team during the winter period is a guarantee of good form throughout the year.
