A new international recognition won the Impulse Sports Dance Club after the couple Hristo Grcchi and Diana Luchkova recorded a top ranking of the German Open Grand Slam Championship, held between 17 and 21 August in Stuttgart.
In the 11-year-olds, the Velingrad couple qualified in all three disciplines in the final, winning second place in standard dances, third in the combination and sixth in Latin dances, respectively. The success is also enhanced by the fact that for the first time a Bulgarian couple qualified before 30th place at this competition.
The prize standings came in the competition of 50 couples, half of whom are from the strongest school in sports dance - Russian. As a result of the good performance, the pair received an invitation to participate in a training camp in Italy personally from former world champion Ekaterina Arzenton. The success of the Bulgarian couple is reflected in all specialized sports dance sites. The competition in Stuttgart has the status of an unofficial world championship, explained Impulse coach Petar Milchev, because an unlimited number of competitors from all countries take part in it. For example, this year's edition featured 1,600 doubles, which is evidence of the tournament's strength.
The closest events of the Impulse contestants are participation in an international tournament in Belgrade on 25 and 26 September, where we will present ourselves with eight pairs, and at the end of October the State Championship of Sports Dance starts.
