The Second Meeting of the Armenian Culture was held from 26 to 28 August in the city of Constanta, Romania. A group of representatives of the Armons from Dorkovo, Velingrad, Rakitovo, Peshtera left for her. On the first day, the program included a screening of a documentary about the Armenians in Macedonia, a presentation of a compact disc of music by singer Gika Godi, and an introduction to the collection of editions of the Armenians stored in the Library of Constana. In the evening, the large hall of the House of Culture in the Black Sea town failed to gather all who came to enjoy the performances of traditional Armenian folklore and art. The group Iholu from Constana presented the traditional wedding of the Farshirot. A whole series of poets recited his poems. Singers Steru Dorduculli from Greece, Jika Godi from New York and the folk trio from Koglniceanu, Romania gave short concerts. The final performance of the band "Fantona" from Dorkovo was eagerly awaited. She presented the traditional holiday "Tanea" (Enyovden), enriched with a bunch of songs and people. The guests from Bulgaria showed the preserved for generations traditional costumes, the richness of the authentic rites and customs of the Armons. The loud applause was a sure sign of the joy of the spectators from the performance of our folklore group.
The second day started with the scientific symposium "Culture and Civilization of the Armons", with speakers looking at various issues from the history and culture of the Armons. On our side we presented the experience of creating the exhibition "The Armons in Bulgaria" and the newly published book by the poet Georgi Kholyanov from Peshtera. However, the strongest emotions loomed. After lunch, a large column of buses and cars set off for the Armenian settlement of Steria, situated among the large hills of the surrounding Eski Baba. After the warm welcome, guests and hosts headed to the curia near the village. There was held the real meeting of the Armenians from the Balkans. On the festive stage came out one after another folk groups. Among them, our "Funtona" once again stood out, which this time showed a traditional Armenian wedding. By late evening, the long people and mirth continued.
The last day was dedicated to official resolutions, decisions and future projects. Many of the participants from the Bulgarian group managed to meet their relatives living for decades in Romania. Finally, the time has come for the long way to the Rhodopes. For us will remain unforgettable these days in Constanta at meetings with the Armenian culture.
