On March 15, the Supreme Administrative Court heard in closed session Fidel Beev's private appeal against the definition by which the Pazardzhik District Court suspended his inauguration as mayor of the municipality of Velingrad. The three judges of the SAC launched the appeal, although according to the proponents of the appeal the legality of the mayoral elections Atanas Vodev it is procedurally inadmissible.
The SAC decided that, in essence, the complaint of F. Beev is unfounded. According to the Supreme Court, the Pazardzhik District Court correctly held that the protection of the public interest requires that until the dispute is resolved Mr. Beev not take office as mayor. By its own definition of 15 March 2005. SAC remains in force the definition of the Pazardzhik District Court. The order of the SAC is not subject to appeal, which means that the mayoral post depends on the development of the ongoing election case.
