On 29 January in the election headquarters of the candidate mayor Fidel Beev gave a press conference the leader of the National Association BZNS (NS-BZNS) Yane Yanev. Also involved were the vice-president of the party Atanas Zhelezchev (lawyer of Mr. Beev) and the member of the Managing Board Ruslan Ivanov.
Mr. Yanev's exhibition was dedicated to the mayoral elections in Velingrad. His main thesis was that only "ambulant political traders" benefit from them, most of them are on the Municipal Council, want to keep the economic perimeters of influence and therefore cause unnecessary elections. The so-called a broad coalition is a shameful political chamber, which is a precedent and should be branded, Yane Yanev said. He predicted that the "era of trade in Velingrad" would finally end at the end of February and warned that no one should make ethnic, religious or cultural opposition here. Mr. Yanev expressed full conviction that F. Beev will win the election and that he will not do a "witch hunt". The higher the percentage "for" Beev, the more likely he was to be maximally tolerant, including to local quasi-political parties. It was announced that in case of election victory Atanas Zhelezchev would head a legal team to make a complete revision of the decisions of the Municipal Council.
How, if elected, F. Beev will work with the same Municipal Council? "We have an interesting strategy for Mr. Beev to be maximally tolerant and maximally decisive," Mr. Yanev hinted and told that his phone was heated by advisers who persuaded him to withdraw support for F. Beev, because they're going to blam him again. No specific answer remained asking where Mr. Yanev is getting information about the work of the Municipal Council - Velingrad, but he mentioned that together with Mr. Zhelezchev in recent days they have meetings with municipal councilors to convince them that it is right to comply with the will of the voters. It turned out that the time had not yet come and the question whether the NS-BZNS was pressured at the central level to withdraw its support for F. Beev. However, it was the time of Stoyan Ganev - according to Yane Yanev, he returned to Bulgaria in February and as one of the creators of the NMSS, he will want to take his loans along with interest.
As a sign person with great influence in the Pazardzhik region, Mr. Beev can attract many voters to the NS-BZNS in the upcoming parliamentary elections as well, Yane Yanev believes. It was allowed the possibility that on the parliamentary list it was not only F. Beev, and another person from Velingrad. For the parliamentary elections, the NS-BZNS will seek local leaders because most parties have been devalued and worn out. According to Yane Yanev, the BZNS has a political tradition of taking individuals on concession, as is the case with F. Beev, who was a Green Party candidate in the last election. We are close to the leader of the Green Party, Al. Karakachanov, he used the orange ballot, added At. Zhelezchev. The lawyer stated that the text in the ZMSMA, because of which F. Beev was removed from the mayor's post, it's nonsense and it needs to be changed.
