The sports dance club "Impulse" finished the season in a proper way, as its graduates managed to win 10 awards at the last round of the State Championship held in Albena. Competitions in our seaside resort were held on 25, 26 and 27 June, and the last two days were held and International tournament "Albena open".
On the first day of the competitions at 11-year-olds Hristo Grchki and Diana Luchkova became champions in both Latin dances and standard dances. Georgi Ganev and Veronika Gadzheva were decorated with bronze. In the above category, in the 13-year-olds, a gold medal was won by Spas Tzanov and Elena Buchkova, while Georges Petrov and Elena Pancheva remained second. In the international tournament, held on 26 and 27 June, Impulse gained new success in the competition of couples from 12 countries, among which traditionally strong in dances such as Italy, Austria, Russia, Ukraine, Slovenia, Slovakia, etc. Hristo Grcchi and Diana Luchkova again grabbed the gold in their age group, leaving behind the pairs of Russia and Moldova. Georgi Gadzhev and Veronika Gadzheva came fourth. Spas Tsanov and Elena Buchkova won silver in juniors and juniors.
Our best couple, Evgeni Popov - Gergana Kasapska, recorded a strong participation in the tournament, winning 10th place in the juniors and 27th in the highest class, over 19 years. This success, which came in the competition of 80 pairs, provided the two new points in the international rankings and ranked them in the top 1000 of this sport.
After the conclusion of this last round of the season, it became clear that Impulse ranks third in Bulgaria in awards won. The first and second positions were ranked respectively "Burgas-75" and "Rainbow" (Sofia). According to Impulse coach Petar Milchev, the season is successful and has solidified the strong performance of the club in recent years.
"There is a lot of work ahead, the requirements are getting even bigger, but the important thing is that it is moving forward," he told the newspaper Tempo.
Now the Impulse contestants are facing a two-week break, after which they begin preparing for an international tournament in Stuttgart, which will be held in late August and has the status of an unofficial world championship.
