Municipal Sports Dance Club "Impulse" achieved another great success after scoring three pairs in the first six of the State Championship of Latin American Dance held on April 21 in Varna.
In the Palace of Culture and Sports in our sea capital the championship title at the 11-year-olds was grabbed by Georgi Mihov and Adriana Gereva, and immediately after them were Blagoy Kunchev and Spasimira Daskalova. Sixth remained Spas Tsanov and Elena Buchkova. An extremely dramatic struggle accompanies the race between the 20 best couples in this class, proof of which is the fact that only one first place in the extra brings the title to Georgi and Adriana.
The referee participation is international, with referees from the Czech Republic, Austria and Italy including the five-time world champion in standard dance for professionals Katerina Argenton.
The coach of the club Petar Milchev once again expressed his satisfaction with the achieved success, not missing to thank again his main sponsor - the company "Tselev".
On April 27 and 28, the club took part in a competition in Sliven from the Republican sports calendar, for which we will inform you in the next issue. Appearances are forthcoming on 11 and 12 May in Kazanlak, and in June the State Championships first and second rank in Ruse and Albena are expected. The club has received an invitation to participate in the November Open Championship of Europe, which will be held in Vienna - Austria.
Meanwhile, it became clear that two new recruits are already competing for OKST "Impulse": Dimitar Radichev, 16. from Smolyan - Republican champion for 2001. and Hristo Grchki from Blagoevgrad in the 10-year-olds.
