The General Secretary of the Confederation of Craftsmen in Italy, Mr Gian Franco Trebi, visited Velingrad on 22 July. It is the largest non-governmental organization of artisans and small business representatives in Italy, in which practically all small businesses are members. Mr. Treby was accompanied by Mr. Giorgio, who is in charge of the modeling section of the Confederation and economic affairs consultant Gabriele Parente. Their visit to our city was part of the introduction to the activities of the members of the National Network for Business Development centers in different Bulgarian cities. Days before, the Confederation of Craftsmen in Italy signed an official cooperation agreement with the National Business Development Network, its chairman Svetlana Papukchieva announced. The joint work opens up serious perspectives, especially when applying with projects to the European institutions.
In Velingrad, the Italian guests visited the Agency for Regional Development, for whose work in support of craftsmen, small and medium businesses was told by the director Vaska Milusheva. Then they looked at an herbal incubator in Draginovo and visited 4 local companies: Radial auto service, Minerali-M company, the toy factory and the hairdressing salon Marineli. Interim mayor Stoyan Dulev did not take the time to meet with the Italian delegation. At the end of his visit, Mr. Treby said that in Velingrad he was extremely impressed by the fact how many women work in managerial positions.
After Velingrad, the Italians headed to the Crafts House in Nova Zagora, and then to Nesebar, where they will participate in the jury of the competition for young Bulgarian stylists together with the Minister of Labour Hristina Hristova.
