Yurius Baumanis was born in Latvia, but has been working in Germany for 12 years. Champion of Latvia and USSR in standard dances, Latin American dances and the 10 dances for professionals. One of the leading sports dance specialists in Europe, he toured many countries on the continent. During the past week Mr. Baumanis was in Velingrad at the invitation of the Impulse Dance Club, with whose contestants he held numerous rehearsals and consultations. According to him, the level of dance couples in Bulgaria is still very far behind compared to other countries in Eastern Europe. For Bulgaria this is a matter of future, there is a serious need for coaches. The Bulgarians themselves are extremely temperamental and there is even a need for their temperament to be tamed. For Impulse alumni, Yurius Baumanis said that he is still gaining impressions and it is too early to give grades. As a prospect pointed out the couple Blagoy Kunchev - Spasimira Daskalova, who recently brought gold from the Balkaniad to Greece.
The competitors of KST "Impulse" welcomed Mr. Baumanis with enthusiasm and the normal for the case overstrain.
