Days after Deputy Prime Minister Kostadin Paskalev resigned, UDF MP Panayot Lyakov said in Velingrad that this was the beginning of a government crisis. This cabinet in this composition will not last the winter, once again predicted the MP and described as "krfishets and mythical programs" the visit of the government in Kardzhali. As all political forces are already in an election race for the mayoral vote next year, the BSP, as part of the ruling majority, attempts by resignations to distance itself from the negatives of the government.

A National Council of UDF is scheduled for November 30 with the participation of the blue mayors, chairmen of municipal councils and municipal structures. Rules for the election of mayors will be adopted in compliance with one basic principle: the responsibility for local elections will be borne by the local structures of the UDF. The municipal organizations of the Blues will take over all the preparation and conduct of the election campaign, no one will interfere with the nomination of the candidate for mayor, they will also have full freedom to make coalitions. Asked whether local organizations are ready to withstand the pressure of nominating candidates, because this often becomes a source of internal conflicts, Mr. Lyakov replied that each choice is a great check. According to him, in places there are serious contradictions and remnants of battles in the last paralment, so support from NIS will be required. However, there are no such organizations in Pazardzhik region, although in Panagyurishte, Peshtera and Batak the Blues are facing a difficult election battle. The MP agreed with the forecasts again for an ethnic vote in Velingrad because of large but unsupported ambitions of the DPS. On the topic of coalition on the right P. Lyakov reiterated that in politics one cannot collect minuses and obtain pluses. As "minuses" he defined NDSV, the parties of St. Sofiansky and Eug. Bakardzhiev. Despite the many questions about specific candidates for mayors of the UDF, Mr. Lyakov did not name names, but gave a general assessment of the successful work of all blue mayors in the district, who for the first time showed the huge resources of the local government. Speaking about the chances of Dr. Tsvetan Dafov, the MP described him as a successful mayor who fulfills his election promises and people know what he has done for the city.
