2 November 2003 In a race between 15 candidates, businessman Fidel Beev won the second round of the mayoral election convincingly with 12,142 votes. The election was remembered for the kidnapping of F's daughter. Beev in the week between the two tails.
10 November 2003 The Pazardzhik District Court by definition stopped the inauguration of Fidel Beev in the office of mayor of the municipality of Velingrad. A court case for cassation of the elections started, filed by the losing candidate-mayor Alexander Daskalov. The temporary mayor of the municipality became Angel Toporchev. 27 January 2004. The Pazardzhik District Court recognized the elections as regular and overturned its definition, after which Fidel Beev officially took the post of mayor of the municipality.
18 June 2004 The Municipal Election Commission suspended the powers of Mayor F. Beev because of violations of the LMSMA: in his capacity as mayor, he has remained the owner of commercial companies and has carried on commercial activities, including with the municipality. Fidel Beev launched a lawsuit against the decision of the OIC, the interim mayor of the municipality after scandals became Stoyan Dulev.
21 October 2004 The Supreme Administrative Court as a last resort ruled that the OIC's decision to terminate Fidel Beev's mayoral powers was lawful. 25 October 2004 The municipal council for the second time deposed Stoyan Dulev, who, however, remained a vrid mayor and launched a lawsuit against the decision.
9 December 2004 The municipal council elects mayor Atanas Vodev, who, after a court decision, takes office on Christmas Eve. 12 February 2005 There are partial elections for mayor of the municipality of Velingrad, won again by 12,912 votes by Fidel Beev, whose main rival Atanas Vodev received 8,934 votes. February 17, 1005. The Pazardzhik District Court for the second time stopped the inauguration of Fidel Beev. At the complaint of At. Vodev launched a new case for cassation of the partial elections.
18 May 2005 The Supreme Administrative Court cashed the partial mayoral elections for the municipality of Velingrad on the basis of numerous violations of the law. Later, President Georgi Parvanov scheduled new elections for September 18, 2005.
