"What a miracle happened in the village of Chepino" was one of the many songs sung with a whole heart by Chepino ensemble on the evening of November 4. On this date, the amateurs and the guests who filled the Chitalishte hall with much love and empathy marked a real "miracle" - the hundredth birthday of the "St. Cyril and Methodius".
As much as we are used to the phrase that 100 years is one small moment of history, it does not say everything at all. In fact, words can hardly describe what lies behind 100 years of creative burning of hundreds of people who connected part of their lives with the community center; behind 100 years of fidelity to the revival aspirations of the founders; behind 100 years of enthusiasm, which overcomes the difficulties and strives to preserve and preserve this so Bulgarian institution in Chepino. The correct comparison sounded in the congratulatory address from the Historical Museum - Velingrad: imagine what it is like for a bell to drain 100 times, how many hearts will tremble with it, how good it will awaken... Because of the impressive anniversary, there were many official guests in the hall: DPS MP Fidel Beev, the mayor of the municipality Stoyan Dulev and the deputy mayor Recep Hodzhov, the chairman of the Municipal Council Nedzhat Kehayov and many municipal councilors, representatives of community centers from the whole region. In a short speech, the excited chairman of the Chitalishte Board Georgi Vasilev-Joto defined the Chitalishte as a unique school for spirituality and happy anniversary of all fellow amateurs from Chepino. A documentary told the story of the community center and deservedly recalled the names of its founders: Philip Glaveev, Moses Pramatarov, Miladin Dossev, Alexander Lachev, Atanas Pramatarov, Ivan Iliev. The real proof of the foresight of these great Bulgarians was the fact that 100 years later in the hall were many of their successors - both of the names and of their patriotic ideas. The hosts of the festive program Evgenia Debelushina and Ivan Gergev had nearly an hour to read the many congratulatory addresses and telegrams received for the anniversary. Their greetings and wishes were sent by Prime Minister Sergey Stanishev, People's Representative Lydia Shuleva, Regional Governor Angel Cholakov, Prof. Kiril Stefanov on behalf of Pirin Ensemble - Blagoevgrad. Inexplicably remained the silence of the Ministry of Culture...
A congratulatory address from all municipal councilors read N. Kehayov, and from Municipal Administration St. Dulev. On behalf of the OS and OA, the mayor gave the jubilees a video camera and DVD to seal their appearances on the scenes of the country and abroad. And the chairman of the community center G. Vasilev, who also had a birthday, received from the municipality a beautiful bouquet and a mobile phone.
Vladimir Batakliev, Chairman of the Regional Council of Chitalishtes - Pazardzhik, conveyed the greetings of the Union of People's Chitalishtes and on behalf of the Union awarded certificates for long-standing reading activity. With diplomas were awarded to the amateurs: Georgi Vasilev, Dimitar Kantarev, Atanas Kyulev, Tsvetko Zlatarev, Kostadin Atanasov, Ivan Kishev, Yordan Kishev, Mirela Shipeva, Tsvetanka Virovska, Boyan Bayrakov.
With warm words and gifts for the anniversary, amateurs from the community centers in Ludgene, Kamenitsa, Draginovo, Kostandovo, Dorkovo, Bratsigovo, Razlog turned to their colleagues from the Chepin community center. Congratulatory addresses were handed to the municipal leadership of BSP, the Historical Museum, the Pensioner's Club in Chepino. And one particularly exciting greeting - from the wife of the late long-time community center worker Nikola Yunchev, who if the jubilee was 10 months ago, would have been among the happiest.
Assoc. Ivan Paligorov announced that as editor-in-chief of the magazine "Management and Sustainable Development" donated to the library the entire current of the edition plus a CD version. The advertising and publishing house Elephant donated the emblem of the community center - a stylized spark that will never go out. The Director of the Secondary School "V. Levski "Emil Mollov reported the news that the community center "St. Sv. Cyril and Methodius” from that day already has a page on the Internet and the alumni of the school will maintain it in order for this cultural institution of ours to be present in the world wide web.
And the most exciting greeting and the biggest gift were made by the children from Neofit Rilski Primary School with director Damiana Kandeva. They gave the community center 500 leva, collected by the initiative students and called on others to follow their example, announcing and opening for this purpose a bank account. "There is no greater gift than this!" exclaimed the surprised G. Vasilev, and the hall applauded the lesson in donating to the children. The high degree of the good emotion was also preserved with the words of Maria Gagova, who has also connected her life with the community center for decades. She said "Evala!" to the amateurs for doing something for society, for giving from their hearts. Like 25 years ago. I greeted them, so now I have brought a bottle of champagne and made a tray with strudel to treat them, announced Sister Mara. And add to your words a magnificently performed song with the wish that wherever they go, they will always behave like Chepinians - hard and unyielding!
The Board of Trustees of the Chitalishte awards on the occasion of the anniversary some of the most prominent Chitalishte figures. Decorative plates with the sign of the community center received: Yanka Angelova, Katerina Baltakova, Vasil Angelov, Ivan Norov, Atanas Vetsov, Atanas Paligorov, Yordanka Kehayova, Ilya Rudzhov, Adelina Djulenova, Petar Chapkanov. For them and for all amateur flower baskets served Municipal Council and Municipal Administration and the Pensioner's Club, kv. Chepino.
At the end of the official part D. Vasilev read a long list of sponsors and thanked the numerous companies from Velingrad for their help and responsiveness to celebrate the anniversary. And after his words "Now let's see why we are here and why the community center is there" started the long-awaited from the whole hall festive concert.
Consistently, the young singers and dancers from Chepinche Ensemble led by Nadezhda Kamburova and Lazarina Dzhambazova and the performers of Chepino Ensemble: the musicians from the orchestra led by Dimitar Kantarev, the men's folk group led by Georgi Vasilev, the women's folk group led by Ivan Kazaliev, the dance ensemble led by chief artistic director Boyan Bayrakov. All of them sang, danced and played as for a 100-year anniversary, gave their best to show from the stage not only that they have behind them the experience and example of 100 years, but also that in front of the community center there are many more years of work, creativity and success. A concert is not retold, it has to be lived, and that is exactly the pleasure the audience experienced. The finale of this wonderful celebration was the "reserved mark" of the concerts of the Chepino ensembles: a horo as long as the whole hall, on which, with mood and desire, amateurs and an audience took hold. This is the "miracle" that has happened in Chepino and has been going on for more than 100 years: the community center is alive and together with it is alive the Bulgarian spirit and talent!
