I am aware that with my statement I will not change the vote for or against the termination of my powers. I know that every councillor entering this chamber has elected or been forced to choose to vote one way or another.
I will not justify my actions as a manager of Stroycom, as this is not the reason for my requested resignation. The draft decision as a motive states the performance of actions or inactions of the manager, which led to deterioration of the financial results of the municipal company. It became clear to the councillors that this motive was at least untenable and offensive to me and my colleagues, as the company made a profit for the previous year.
The reason for my resignation is different. As Mr. Mayor says: "Whatever we talk about - it's about money", that is, the reasons are purely economic. It is not a secret to anyone his appetites for our enterprise and its activities. They date back a long time, and that's understandable. Around the world, the fight for the waste business is big because it is a perpetual business. I, in turn, had to take all the necessary action to make this his intention come true - that is, to liquidate the enterprise.
What's this about? By an inadmissible administrative act, called a later notification letter, I was ordered, in connection with an upcoming decision of the Supreme Administrative Court, to issue notices of termination of employment of all employees in the company, which is pure liquidation. But I did not comply with the mayor's order, though I was unequivocally told that since I did not want to, he would find someone else to do it. Since the letter was received on May 4, and the notice period is 1 month, I ask on June 5 who would have cleaned the city after the staff was released? The answer is simple: one of Mr. Mayor's firms.
Stroycom employs about 130 people on a labor contract. The majority of them are with 20 years and more in this enterprise. I am deeply convinced that it is not easy to decide the fate of one person, let alone 130 families. I cannot bear such a sin. I am convinced that it is the duty of a mayor to see to it that these people are put to work in the new firm with which a contract is eventually made. I say eventually, because I am convinced that there will be problems. Mr. Mayor's goal is another and it is hardly a contract with the company "Sheele" or at least not for 4 years, for the duration of the order.
Similar things have already been played out with Delta for the supply of fuels; with Kotsan for the maintenance of street lighting; the ambitions for the water of Velingrad are known and in this sense the struggle for the removal of Eurovodcommerce from the water association with VKTV. Turns out we're next. And after us? Slowly and gradually, Mr. Mayor became an exclusive supplier of materials, fuels and services for municipal activities, that is, at the entrance and exit of the municipality's money resource. Mr. Mayor, on your campaign poster it said, "By the deeds ye shall know me." Well, we recognize you. Under your seeming concern of a shortage of funds in the municipal budget, you are selling to our company, which is dependent on it, fuels in large quantities at retail prices and then what prices. For information of the municipal councilors: for last year you have received from us over 200 000 leva, and for 4 months of this year over 60 000 leva. Why, since the municipality is so financially worried, did you load up the fuel tanks of schools and kindergartens, even though it is the end of m. May? That's the truth, and a very small part of it. Therefore, there is no money for "Beautiful Bulgaria", for asphalting streets, etc. Enticed in political parties, in the struggle for a post or to keep it, in a not too distant day we will realize all that the mayor, concerned for the welfare of the municipality, has actually drained it (this is his expression), and we have been defaced and crushed.
I would like to use this platform to thank everyone who has supported and supported me at this time. To thank my colleagues because we have been together for these 4.5 years and supported each other. I also thank them for working well and building a strong collective. And as much as Mr. Mayor says we're not working and the city is dirty, the truth is different and it's visible. Colleagues, I am honored and proud to have worked with you. I also thank the esteemed municipal councilors from the previous and the current composition of the Municipal Council for assisting me in my work and for the good of our city. And let's not forget that a man is as big as his dreams and life is measured not by years, but by the trail left behind us.
