Where are you, music lovers?

In the week of the first spring, the community center in Ledgene hosted two music concerts - something that is happening less and less in Velingrad. On March 20, the Burgas prima Toni Dimitrova visited, and on March 23 came young opera performers from the Pancho Vladigerov State Academy of Music. It may be the first time Tony Dimitrova has failed to fill the salon with his loyal audience. Tickets cost 5 leva - an amount that has not been in everyone's pocket lately. The singer presented her biggest hits, as well as songs from her new album. There was much to be desired in terms of sound quality, but the audience left satisfied with Tony's nice voice and her melodic songs. On the cold Saturday afternoon of Todorovden, the opera concert gathered in the hall about 20 people (a few, but true connoisseurs). However, the young opera performers did not postpone the concert, sang and played with enviable professionalism and enthusiasm. The audience was convinced that the phenomenon of "Bulgarian voices" has a future, that the acoustics of the community hall are very good and that the old piano has an urgent need for chording. What did they miss to hear from the people of Veligrad? Flora Turpomanova - soprano, Gergana Rusekova - soprano, Orlin Kamenov - soprano. All three of them rightly rank among the hopes of the Bulgarian opera, currently singing in the Dutch "Compaigners Opera". Under the accompaniment of Dimitar Stefanov, popular arias from Verdi's "Traviata" and "Rigoletto", from Puccini's "Tosca" and "Bohemi" sounded, as well as songs from Andrea Bocelli's repertoire. "Whoever does not come, simply does not know what he lost!" said after the concert piano teacher Stoyanka Encheva. That's right. And it is a pity that it happens in Nikolai Ghiaurov's hometown.
