Minutes before 17 hours on December 8, the Pazardzhik District Court announced its decision on Alexander Daskalov's appeal against Fidel Beev. The appeal sought the annulment of the decision of the Municipal Election Commission - Velingrad to declare Fidel Beev mayor of the municipality. The court, chaired by Judge Dochka Varbeva, dismissed Al's appeal. Daskalov on the grounds that no significant violations of the law were found. The posters of F. Beev in buses on city lines did not influence the vote, and press publications about the kidnapping of Desislava Beeva are not election campaigning, the court believes.
Without waiting for the 7-day appeal period allowed by law, Alexander Daskalov and his lawyer Rumen Petkov appealed the decision of the Pazardzhik District Court to the Supreme Administrative Court on December 9. It is now expected that the SAC will set a date for the case, after which the supreme judges have a 14-day time limit to pronounce and their decision is not subject to further appeals.
