Christmas concerts - the bright beginning of the holiday

28.12.2005 21:58 •
A strenuous tour of the shops to have under the tree presents; a basic cleaning to shine home in anticipation of the holiday; fussing around the stove to make the table generous... It's Christmas, and it's not just that. Christmas is also a celebration of the light that we open with our hearts, as sounded from the stage of the community center "Otets Paisiy" on the evening of December 22. And everyone in the full hall who witnessed the Christmas concert certainly felt Christmas and like Christmas - of the good, of the bright beginning, of hope. The same festive evening they also gave to their fans the amateurs from the Chitalishtes in Chepino and Kamenitsa on 22 and 23 December.
The concert in Sq. Ludjene was particularly solemn as it took place in the newly renovated salon. At this Christmas concert in the hall it was bright, clean and warm - the way we don't remember it happening for years. The performers also did their best to make the concert a level one. It was opened by the City Choir under the conductorship of Eli Sazdova-Gikova. Along with the traditional classic Christmas songs, the choristers presented a new repertoire. After them, pianists Esmeralda Todorova and Marian Kanchev from Mrs. Stoyanka Encheva's class played works by Liszt and Vivaldi on two hands. The ladies from the Popular Songs Group led by Ivan Kazaliev once again created a mood with songs loved by the audience. The representative brass orchestra with conductor Dimitar Mechev showed the wide range of his musical skills: from "American Patrol" through "Danube Horo" to "On the Beautiful Blue Danube", "Radetzky March" and "Queen of the Chardasha". Impressive was the performance of the orchestra and choruses of the choir from Verdi's opera Nabucco. And the most impressive was the final of the concert: the orchestra, the choir and the cheerleading squad led by Bilyana Maslarova made a memorable performance of a composition of popular Bulgarian songs such as "One Bulgarian Rose" and "My Country, My Bulgaria" in N's processing. Tonev. The audience loudly applauded the finale when white, green and red balloons flew up and it sounded "On Many Summers".
ONCH "Sv.Sv. Cyril and Methodius” in kv. Chepino sent the year to its centenary with a concert in which the amateurs once again showed their latest program. The ensemble "Chepino", the men's folklore group and the children's ensemble "Chepinchche" took part.
On the eve of Christmas Eve on the stage of ONCH "Vasil Levski" in the quarter. Kamenitsa for the festive mood of the guests sang and danced all amateur groups to the community center.
