Lydia Shuleva, in her capacity as a member of the NDSV Political Council, personally supported the independent candidate mayor Nikolay Deliev. "Velgrade lacks a good manager - a person who understands money and economics. Nikolay Deliev is such a person and I express my personal support and confidence that he will win," said Ms. Shuleva. Support for Mr. Deliev expressed also the MP from NDSV Valentin Miltenov, according to whom in Velingrad they have found a winning candidate.
The official launch of the N. Deliev was on Sunday at the Old Walnut Restaurant. The candidate was presented by the chief of the election headquarters - the famous lawyer Rumen Petkov. Mr. Deliev announced that his management project is "Velingrad - a resort of four seasons". He stressed that the 21st century will be a century of tourism and pointed out that he knows how in 4 years to turn our city into a European tourist center. Before the election he will bet on a positive campaign because he is convinced that now is not the time to look for negatives, but to unite efforts. In the same spirit, he also answered the question of what his dream composition of the Municipal Council is: "It doesn't matter, anyone can work with." There will also be no party bias when forming the team that will build from professionals, without purges of people who have shown professional qualities.
A similar approach was used in shaping the NDSV list for municipal councilors, represented by the municipal coordinator Nadezhda Klyuchkova, who is also the leader of the list. Our desire is to break the rear-view mirror and look ahead, Ms. Shuleva said.
Lydia Shuleva answered many questions, among which was the one about the suspended EIA report of the Suyka project. She said she was not privy to details, but knew that conditions relating to land ownership were not met. Her personal opinion is that the Sutka project should be implemented as long as a competent team is found to solve the problems facing this realization. The most important thing for Sutka is the investor interest, our problem is that we have not found serious investors and therefore we blame "the slush, drought, etc.", Ms. Shuleva said and wished to work for the project, not to wave it before the elections. As of this week, permanent duty begins at the NDSV campaign headquarters at the entrance to the Old Council.
