Mayor Dr. Tsvetan Dafov presented a report on the 4-year term at a meeting with the citizens of Velingrad, which was held on September 16 in the big hall of the municipality. Attended by municipal administration officials working in municipal companies, members of UDF and parties supporting the mayor for a second term. Dr. Dafov presented in a summary the report published in the information bulletin of the municipality, which the students of "Tempo" have already met. Many speeches followed and the vast majority of them were praise for what was done and wishes for a second term. Only three of those present were eligible for criticism: Mr. Agov expressed his dissatisfaction with the municipal official G. Nikolov and summarized that the big things were done, but the voters were forgotten. The leader of "Defense" Ivan Avramov once again declared himself against the Water Association and spoke in principle against privatization in the country as a vandal act. This gave cause to the manager of "VKTV" A. Chryscheva directly accused him that the looting at the Crystal plant was at the time when he was the director. Critical was also the statement of an elderly man from Chepino, according to whom the average man was killed, no one stopped the thefts in the field, and the municipality did not care about the deplorable condition of the park at the railway station in Chepino.
All other statements were one hundred percent support for what Dr. Dafov did during the 4 years of his term. Dr. Borislav Andreev rated him as the most transparent mayor and criticized those who slander the municipal leadership in their ear and spread rumors. People made houses for their grandchildren, doesn't Dr. Dafov have the right to make a house, rhetorically asked Dr. Andreev. With great gratitude for everything done in the field of culture, Greta Kadyova kissed the mayor and wished him good luck in the elections. The term of office of the municipal controller of the hospital Maria Charalozova, who pointed out an assistance to the municipality for the health institution, was worthy. Dr. Dafov proved to be a good owner of our apartment, summarized the leader of MSDS Dimitar Stoychev. According to Nikola Bokov, Dr. Dafov has fulfilled 99% of what he promised with his program 4 years ago and remains 1% for the Sutka project, which he wished to do in the next term.
A request for the next term was also made by the chairman of the BZNS-NS Ekaterina Kaferinova. According to her, in 4 years the current management team has created miracles in Velingrad, even the most black-eyed admit that many things have been done and the municipality is on the level. She pointed out that there was much more that could be done, but also a lot was hindered and denied categorically all rumors of corruption saying that there were never rigged contests and auctions. One more term is needed and I will be in the next team because we will win the elections, announced Mrs. Kaferinova.
Although all the heads of directorates in the municipality were present in the hall, there were no questions to them on the report.
