Early in the morning of 16 September Rakitovtsi saw the Minister of Education Vladimir Atanasov on the screen of bTV, and at 11 o'clock he was already on their territory.
This year the Education Minister chose to open the new school year at the boarding school "Angel Uzunov" (former TVU) in Rakitovo. On this occasion, all the school in the city were polished. Mr. Atanasov and the persons accompanying him from his team and the Regional Inspectorate, the Regional Governor Ivan Dimitrov and the MPs from NDSV Valentin Miltenov and Penka Peneva were welcomed in the canteen of the school building due to the bad weather. But that didn't stop the meeting from being cordial. The nice program, prepared by the graduates of the VIU "Angel Uzunov" and their teachers fascinates the guests. For the festive atmosphere helped and folk group "Luludi" from OU "Hristo Botev".

"I feel the children as my friends!" said Mr. Atanasov in his statement and expressed confidence that the team of the school's principal Mr. Yanushev will be able to help these children to be successful in society. To support the noble enterprise, the minister gave the school a panel with the images of St. John. Kliment Ohridski and his students, and promised 20 thousand leva for urgent repairs. With the active assistance of the President of Professional Football League Valentin Mihov sports teams and balls were added to the gifts from the Ministry of Education. The other guests also wished fruitful work to the students and teachers.
After the celebration, Mr. Atanasov retired to a working lunch with the principals of the city schools, who shared with him the urgent and difficult problems of their respective educational institutions, one of which (SOU "St. Kliment Ohridski") the Minister personally visited.
