In the upcoming parliamentary elections Ekaterina Kaferinova is a candidate-deputy in second place in the list of coalition Bulgarian People's Union (BNS) in Pazardzhik constituency.

- Mrs. Kaferinova, why did you choose as your personal motto in the campaign "Revealed - Done"?
- Usually the motto that a person chooses characterizes his essence. For the third term I am a municipal councilor and one term I was also chairman of the Municipal Council of Velingrad. During these three terms, the issues I have set for myself to solve, I have solved them. When I approach a problem, I analyze whether it is possible to solve it and if there is the slightest possibility, I look for ways, ways, approaches, means and solve it. Not only in solving people's personal problems, but also in those related to the municipality.
- Which of the "stories" are you proud of so far?
- I confess a right-wing philosophy for the development of society. I've been following the path I've been following since 1989. Bulgaria walks or strives to walk: market economy, statehood, attracting investments. In this sense I have always supported people who wish to invest in Velingrad and with my voice I have helped. Already in the first term with Bor, which was turned into a ruin, and today is a nice restaurant and investors are already in the second stage to create a hotel part. The mineral beach "Therma" in the district. Kamenitsa was also an unsightly dump site, and today it is a beautiful nook in our city. I helped with the Palace and the Olympus. The city stadium, Millennium, Central shopping complex, Omar tavern, the renovations under the Beautiful Bulgaria project - all these sites changed the appearance of Velingrad, and at the same time engaged labor. In each of the cases listed, there were two positions - whether to become or not. I have always been one of the most active in debates and with action to solve problems. It is good that for each of the sites there is a different investor, no one has received a monopoly, which made it possible to create an environment for medium and larger businesses in Velingrad.
- The upcoming elections are very difficult for right-wing voters. How will you attract and motivate them to exactly support the BNS coalition?
- Bulgarian People's Union is a new coalition: BZNS-People's Union and IMRO are parties with over 100 years of history, representing land and patriotism, and the new party Union of Free Democrats represents entrepreneurship. Thus, we expand the circle of layers to which we commit ourselves to responsible politics. Over the years, there has been a clear polarization and confrontation left-right in Bulgaria. It is high time to delineate a centrist political formation and create a middle class. BNS will appear as one new element in the next National Assembly. Otherwise there will be no change, the configuration and status quo in parliament will be maintained. Whoever seeks change must orient himself towards the BNS. BZNS-People's Union is a member of the European People's Party, which is a guarantee that the coalition will continue our path to the EU.
- What is your assessment of the current election campaign?
- I believe that when there are so poor, suffering, sick children, pensioners who barely make ends meet, it is unforgivable to spend thousands of levs for concerts, posters, for huge advertising. That's why I run a man-to-man, door-to-door, house-to-house campaign.
- For you this is not the first election battle, but for the first time you are second on the list. How do you assess your chances of becoming a Member of Parliament?
- I have really participated in lists and in other parliamentary elections. So far as a representative of the political force BZNS-NS with my work I have contributed to the success of the relevant list. In this election for the first time I am in second position and I have a real chance to be elected. By placing me in second place, our coalition is the only one that respected Velingrad and the municipality as a whole. In no other party list is there a Velingrad citizen in an elective place, except for the DPS. It is a pity that Velingrad is the second largest municipality in Pazardzhik region, but the other political forces somehow put a feature on our municipality.
Why do I say "real chance"? If the voters from Velingrad think that it is good for the city to have a Member of Parliament, I have a chance to be elected with the votes of Velingrad alone, without the other municipalities. To get to this second place, I have worked for many years, actively since 1995. I have passed through all levels of Velingrad - Pazardzhik - Sofia, I have the preparation of three terms as an advisor, I have gained experience, contacts, lobbies. I can be useful to the city if the residents of Velingrad accept my motto "Reche-storeno" and do it on June 25 with No. 12 in the integral ballot!
