The football team of CBC "Hristo Botev" - Velingrad took part in the next stage of the republican championship for high school students. Initially, the graduates of the gym teachers Georgi Zisov and Dimitar Murtin dealt with their opponents at the district level, having managed to achieve two victories. The first opponent was the team of the Panagyurishte Mining Technical School. With a better game, the Velingradians came to a 2-0 victory, after accurate hits by V. Tabakov and S. Zhelyazkov. The next rival of our students was the team of the Agricultural Technical School from September, which in a dramatic match managed to beat with 3:2 the boys from Georgi Benkovski Secondary School - Pazardzhik. On the excellent terrain in Peshtera, students from the Hristo Botev CBC did not leave any doubts in their better class and achieved a definite 3-0 victory. As goalscorers appear E. Poptomov, G. Nikolov and V. Murov. Nervous of their weak game and of the forming loss, several September players have sought self-justice and two of them have been removed from the game. With his two wins, the team of CBC “Hristo Botev” fully deserved became a regional champion for high school students. The successes of these boys are not accidental at all, because each of them trains football in the junior teams of "Athletic" and "Chepinets-Beev". For teachers Zisov and Murtin it remains only to take the role of selectors and choose the optimal composition and the most appropriate tactics for the next matches. Three teams reached this stage of the championship. Fortunately for our boys, the draw determined that they should rest and wait for the winner of the clash between the representatives of the sports school of Lokomotiv 101 from Sofia and the students from the town. Dolna Banya, champions in Sofia region and satellite team of Levski. The match of ours will be on March 29 (Friday) on neutral ground. At whatever stage the performance of the students from the Forest Technical School will be a great success, because for the first time high school students from Velingrad go so far ahead in a republican football championship.
