On April 6, the visiting exhibition of the Historical Museum Velingrad "Easter eggs from the Chepin region" with a demonstration of the writing of eggs by Aunt Gera opened at the Boris Sharov Museum at the Historical Museum in Batak. The exhibition was opened by the director of the museum Ekaterina Peychinova, who noted that after a whole year of contacts at management level, the desire to exchange experiences and ideas between the two museums is finally a fact. The director of the Velingrad museum, Snezhana Veleva, emphasized the interest and especially the joyous fact that our children have also touched the pens, which is the proof that the tradition is not only preserved, but will continue. She thanked the Historical Museum - Batak for the 2 ceramic vessels offered by our treasure hunters.
We also learned from Mrs. Veleva that a 3-year contract has been signed with the Archaeological Museum - Plovdiv for field research and drilling in the region of Velingrad and the municipality, which will start at the end of the month. There are already appointed and after a special training course 7 people guard against treasure hunters. Our museum has also received a donation of software for the museum activity and now it is the turn of the municipality to secure computers.
Our museum is to visit the exhibition of Historical Museum - Smolyan under the title "Christian Heritage", and in the autumn an anti-drug exhibition of the Museum of Unification in Plovdiv. A special pride for our museum, in the words of Mrs. Veleva, is the fact that on April 21 in Plovdiv we will open an exhibition of the Armons with the assistance of the Center for Armenian Language and Culture in Bulgaria, the ethnographic museums in Sofia and Plovdiv and the Historical Museum in Pazardzhik.
