The organizers of last week's cinema panorama Velingrad 2001 gave a closing press conference on October 5. The entire management of the community center "Father Paisii" participated together with the actively working for the cinema forum Georgi Zlatinov. . Over 1,500 viewers have visited the films, with the comedy "Funny Deal" having the greatest interest. A little over 1500 leva are the revenues from tickets that will be used to heat the salon in winter. However, the organizers emphasized that the most important thing was not in the figures (the expectations were for more revenue). The main thing is that we do cinema panorama in a small town, that over 70% of those who visited the screenings are young people, said Mr. Stoyanov. The chairman of the community center Dimitar Mechev warmly thanked Georgi Zlatinov, who through his enthusiasm and contacts with the film houses has made the cinema panorama possible. Mr. Mechev made a commitment that in the presence of cash titles in the winter the community hall will be heated. According to Georgi Zlatinov, Velingrad has a chance to be included among the five cities in which films are screened pre-premiere and recalled that years ago this happened here. He announced that contacts have been established with the new director of the National Film Center Maya Nyagulova and there are rich opportunities for screenings of educational films. Such opportunities are also available on the line of the Bulgarian Red Cross and the Ministry of Health. At the press conference, the idea was born in honor of the anniversary of the Balkan War on October 18 in the big hall of the municipality to have a screening for students, for which the municipality will provide the newly purchased video equipment. A good start, which should become a tradition - this is how the cinema panorama Mr. Ivan Trichkov defined. His assessment was joined by Mr. Avram Gerev, who emphasized the problem of what is the best time for such a forum in Velingrad: during the active tourist season or in the early autumn.
