2,264 people in the municipality of Velingrad have changed their personal doctor in June. This was announced by the Regional Health Insurance Fund-Pazardzhik. In total for the district this number is 9476.
The main reasons for the change concern disruption of access to specialized care, quality of medical care, refusal to make home visits, failure to respond to emergencies, as well as taking a user fee from patients who are exempt from it. The control bodies of the cash register have carried out for the first six months a total of 637 checks, with 337 of them finding violations and the fines imposed amounting to 63,380 levs. Most often, the sanctions are the result of non-compliance with the schedule of service, violation of technical equipment, poorly completed medical documents. Doctors were not yet in order to comply with the terms and conditions for prescribing medicinal products and in case of discrepancy between the provided and paid dental care.
