They awarded the best martenitsi

And this year on the first day of the month of Baba Marta, the Children's Complex in Velingrad organizes a competition for the best martenitsa. The martenitsi created by the children bore all the merits of the Bulgarian tradition plus the children's inspiration from the spring holiday. Awards were given to children from Kindergarten "Sunshine", Primary School "Neofit Rilski" and Secondary School "St. Cyril and Methodius", distributed in three age groups.
In the youngest the prize for originality won Krasimira Mehandzhiyska, and in first and second place the jury ranked the martenitsi of Tsvetina Vacheva and Vasil Sergev.
Petya Pipeva earned the award for original martenitsas in the students of the primary course. In this age group the first place is Stefan Georgiev, followed by Emilian Luchkov and Lilia Manova.
In the students of the V-VIII class the jury distinguished as the most original martenitsi made by Stefka Georgieva. Georgi Daskalov, Gergana Komitska and Marina Yankova qualified in the called three. Encouragement awards from the competition were received by Georgi Mavrov and Sevda Komitska. After the end of the competition, an exhibition with the awarded martenitsas was arranged in the lobby of the Children's Complex. Tempo
