An exhibition of a group of Velingrad artists opened in the Georgi Mashev Art Gallery in Pazardzhik on 29 March. His paintings show Maria Kulaksuzova, Stoyan Belev, Nelly Belev, Svetoslav Baramov, Antoaneta Georgieva, Branimir Manushev, Vasil Goranov, Elitsa Grozdanova, Vili Kirova and Venera Lanjova.
Well after the announced opening hour, the full with guests hall awaits a representative of the Municipality of Velingrad, but such never appears. Here are many artists from Pazardzhik, reporters from all media in the district city, who have already publicized the event, lovers of painting. The artists had to improvise: the chairman of the Pazardzhik group of artists Vasil Petrov opened the exposition, and Stoyan Belev presented the Velingrad authors. The artists remain without the pre-arranged return transport with the municipality - their loved ones get off in cars to return them after the opening.
Apart from these mishaps, the Velingrad artists have cause for satisfaction: the exhibition was well received by the Pazardzhik audience, the very first day was declared interest for purchase of several paintings, which shows that they are valuable, the story about the newspaper. It will then be exhibited in the gallery in Velingrad and the invitation will be renewed for other local artists to show their paintings.
