01.09.2003 19:27 •
Lyutskn Dalakchiev is a member of the NDSV from the Pazardzhik constituency. He was among the guests of the Council of the Association of Hunters and Fishermen in Velingrad on 30 August and accepted to answer a few questions:
- Mr. Dalakchiev, what will happen in the beginning of the political season?
- Many things that will bring us even closer to our application as an equal member of the European Union. As of September 3, starting a new parliamentary session, a constitutional amendment will begin in the judiciary section. Many more laws related to health care, the fight against corruption and, in particular, the laws that concern security authorities will also be considered. The very important law on energy efficiency will be passed, finally the law on telecommunications will be passed, which was conflicted. We will work in line with EU requirements.
- How far have you come with the preparation for the local elections NDSV in Pazardzhik region?
- We are ready, we will announce exactly the results after Tuesday (September 2) - the day of the regular meeting of the NDSV Political Council. In almost all municipalities in the district we have one or two candidates, these people will go to "survey" respectively. The meetings in the municipalities passed, the candidatures for municipal councilors were also raised, the last word in the interviews in Sofia was given by the colleagues from the Political Council. We'll say the names on Tuesday.
- Your brief assessment of the 800 days of government?
- I especially on September 11 turn 2 years of participation in the legislature in parliament. In those two years, I was involved in passing 300 laws. From the point of view of macroeconomic stability and discipline compared to 1996-99. we have certain positions and recognition from the world financial agencies. If God and providence had said this would have been felt gradually at the expense of the entire Bulgarian people since the beginning of 2004. Because we are, after all, on a currency board that imposes a precise set of financial discipline. Our government, led by Simeon Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, wanted to increase wages and pensions by a larger percentage last year. We have all witnessed Milen Velchev's perversities with the board, we have proved to the world that we can follow a strict fiscal policy. From now on, our goal is to have this reflected in reality in the everyday life of the Bulgarians.
