The court did not grant an appeal against the election of At. Vodev
The Citizens' Committee for a Stable Local Authority in Velingrad issued another declaration, read by Dr. Nelly Dremalova from the TV screen. The declaration claimed that interim mayor Atanas Vodev had forcibly seized the municipal authority and demanded intervention of the prosecution. If no immediate measures are taken to restore legitimate power, we will call for civil disobedience, Dr. Dremalova announced.
Meanwhile, the Pazardzhik District Court ruled that it leaves without consideration the private appeal of Stoyan Dulev against the decision of the Municipal Council - Velingrad since December 2004. for the election of Atanas Vodev as interim mayor of the municipality. The court dismissed the proceedings, thus putting an end to the dispute over Mr. Vodev's election.
