Five municipal councilors created a new group in the local parliament and chose the landmark "Unification" as its name. The councillors are from different political forces: Ekaterina Kaferinova from BZNS-People's Union, Atanaska Hrischeva from UDF, Asim Adem from Liberal Union, Dimitar Kasapski from Bulgarian Social Democracy and the independent Georgi Mihailov. According to the rules of the Municipal Council to have a political group the minimum number of councillors is 5. The chairman of the group acquires the right to participate in the Operational Bureau, which has the hard word on the agenda for the meetings of the Municipal Council and on a number of other important issues. One of the goals of the new political group is a more serious presence in the Operational Bureau, Ekaterina Kaferinova reported. She will also be the chairman of the newly formed group.
