DONATION The Bulgarian Red Cross made a donation of 16 packages of sanitary materials, which last week was brought to the most needy in the victim of the floods Draginovo.

The Municipality of Velingrad and Disinfection Station - Pazardzhik started disinfection against cockroaches, fleas and mosquitoes. After heavy rains and subsequent warming, the insect population has increased sharply. On August 29, an annual maintenance was carried out in the two buildings of the Municipal Administration, where only the registry office worked. From August 1 starts spraying against insects in Velingrad and Draginovo.

The employees of the municipality headed by Vrid Mayor Atanas Vodev on 29 and 30 July visited their colleagues in Melnik.

In the grace period announced by VKTV until July 15, 26 citizens have filed applications to interrupt illegal deviations for water in their homes. The company informs that even now upon a request from a citizen, they will interrupt the illegal deviations without sanctions. But if VKTV detects the violation, it will impose the established fines. From August 1, the firm also begins to charge interest for late payment - the basic interest rate plus 10 points per day. In this way, it aims to motivate customers to pay their water and canal bills on time.

EXPORT The eco-sweet of berries produced in Velingrad under the project of ARK-CBI has reached faraway Australia. Last week, the agency exported for the first time to the Australian market in the hope that the traditional Bulgarian taste and ecological qualities of the sweet would appeal to customers from the green continent.
