OIC During the week the Municipal Election Commission held a meeting. All documentation related to the cassation of the elections for mayor of the Municipality of Velingrad, held in February 2005. The documents were sent to the office of President Georgi Parvanov, who must by decree schedule new mayoral elections.

SUCCESS The graduate of Zvanche Music School Hristina Vlahova won third place in the international competition "Rising Stars" in Petrich. She has presented the song "Interhours" based on lyrics by Hristina Dimova, music and arrangement Ivan Kazaliev. The new song sounds at the Teacher of the Year ceremony and on May 24.

DONATION Publishing House "Bard" donated to the municipality of Velingrad 500 volumes of books, which are to be distributed among the local community centers and libraries. From 2 to 5 June the Municipality of Velingrad participated in the exhibition "Nature and Tourism" in the National Palace of Culture - Sofia.
