The Regional Society for Protection of the Rights of the Child celebrated Valentine's Day 14 February by turning one of the limes in the center of Velingrad into a "tree of love". The branches of the tree have become a place where anyone in love can leave a message or surprise for the loving person. In the evening in the Art Gallery poems of love were dedicated to the members of the new literary club "Free Thought".

Theater The amateurs from the theatre collective at the community center "Father Paisii" received an invitation to play their last play "Mr. Puntila and his servant Matti" in honor of Berthold Brecht's birthday. The invitation came from the Pazardzhik Language High School, which is named after the German playwright and celebrates his birthday as his patron holiday.

Laundry in the Roma neighborhood Anezitsa started working in the middle of last week. This will at least partially solve one of the biggest social problems of living in the neighborhood.

SESSION The public discussion of the 2005 municipal budget and its adoption by the local parliament was to take place on 8 and 10 February. Meetings were postponed until after the election.

UDF Vice-President of the NIS of UDF Ergin Emin took part in the meeting of the blue party in Velingrad on 9 February together with the excme of Pazardzhik Dr. Ivan Kolchakov. The local structure of the UDF has accepted five new members.
