ORDER "Beev and Beev" expectedly won the public procurement for winter maintenance of the roads in the municipality of Velingrad, after no other company participated in the procedure.

SHOP The Supreme Court ruled that the competition held by the municipality for the sale of the former grocery store on the corner of the Gergana block was illegal, as a number of violations of the procedure were allowed. The case was brought on the complaint of one of the participating and losing companies. The competition was held in the spring of 2004, the chairman of the commission was the then and present Deputy Mayor R. Hodzhov.

BANKET Municipal Administration headed by Mayor St. Dulev marked October 12 - Day of the Bulgarian Municipality with a banquet in Kamena. Municipal councilors this year did not have a special celebration of the holiday.

CONGRESS Three delegates from Velingrad - Nadezhda Klyuchkova, Ivanka Stancheva and Vasil Teofilov took part in the congress of NDSV, which was held on October 15 in Sofia.

HOLIDAY The day of St. Petka Bulgarian (Friday) was celebrated with a festive mass in the chapel of Yundola, which bears the name of the saint. It also celebrates the collective of the Pneumo-hospital in Velingrad, which adopted the name "St. Petka Bulgarska".

Mayor Stoyan Dulev participated in a two-day seminar in Albena, organized by the National Association of Municipalities in Bulgaria on 13 and 14 October. A guest of the forum of the municipalities was also President Georgi Parvanov.

The UDF Member of Parliament from Pazardzhik District Dr. Ivan Kolchakov rose in the party hierarchy. After the last national conference he became secretary of UDF in the team of the new chairman Petar Stoyanov.

BALNEOLOGY Established in May 2005. National Balneological Tourism Federation held a seminar in Velingrad. The Federation has set as its main goal to develop a National Strategy for Balneology and Balneotourism. Deputy Mayor Recep Hodzhov participated in the work of the seminar.

During the week, the filming of the French film production "Vatanen's Rabbit" began, which also featured extras from Velingrad. Local actors traveled to Beglika by bus, and because of the repair of part of the road (Rakitovo - Tsigov Chark) walked and walked. The roles assigned to them were mostly Canadian tourists.
